has anyone not booked anything yet?

I feel like I'm the only one that hasn't done anything yet and honestly, I won't probably book anything until the beginning of next year.
we just don't have the money to put deposits down or that sort of thing. please tell me it's going to be okay, I'm so anxious about not being able to book vendors like the photographer.
It doesn't help that my husband is the only one working and I'm having a very hard time trying to find a job. sorry for the pity vent.

I'm sure you'll still be fine booking vendors next year. Who knows, you may even end up with better deals if it's close to your renewal date because the companies may figure that no one else will book them with short notice.

Don't stress yourself out, everything will work out for you.

I do hair for weddings on the weekend so that gives me some income. It's hard daycare is so much money!!!! And planning a wedding is hard to do also. I talked to alot of vendors and they said that I dont need to rush and book anything, that I have some time. Good Luck with the job search!!

I'm on the same boat....I haven't booked a thing Even though we both work its very hard to save when you have a mortage and bills to pay, its like everytime we have some extra cash something comes up that we have to do. But I have faith that it will work out.....because all we want to do is become husband and wife.

I only booked Photo/video that is about it...So much to do so little time!

Tanya, I definitely think you have time and shouldn't worry. Sometimes it seems like a frenzy on these boards with so many ladies booking things so far in advance. that is great if they have the time and $$ (and inclination, which I don't at this point) to do so.

I am waiting a while to book the rest of my vendors (dj, limos, etc)

it is statistically unlikely that EVERY vendor you want to book will be working on your day- there are so many talented people out there just waiting to get your work. Are there vendors that book up far in advance? yes, a prominent handful. ARe they the most talented? not necessarily. just the most popular, which we know from High School is not always the best thing.

take your time- you will find the diamonds that are out there.

I haven't booked anything either! I felt like the only one too!! I did find my dress, but haven't put a deposit down. But I don't even have a venue yet!!! Don't feel bad and I won't either!

We've been engaged for over six months and we were going back and forth between getting married on a beach somewhere and having a wedding at a hall somewhere up here. After much discussion and debate, we felt that we might regret it if we didn't have a wedding.

We keep thinking though, that we don't want to GET married, we just want to BE married.

We've saved up all this money and we're like, ok, do we use this as our down payment on a house, or do we use this to pay for a five hour party? I guess that's why we haven't made any plans...

We've made some vague decisions (# of people, time of year, what we're NOT doing, etc) but as far as picking the hall and looking for a dress and vendors - haven't made a single decision. We really have to get our butts in gear!

My FI and are having the same problem - obviously we've decided to move forward with the reception, but I hate spending so much money on one day! That's why we're doing an afternoon reception (it's cheaper) and I'm shopping around for everything! The only thing I've booked so far is Westbury Manor and Duet - and I'm taking a 'wedding planning' break for a few weeks! I can't stand the stress!

I have some things booked but I have not booked all my major vendors yet. I still need to do photographer, videographer and florist...
And let's not even go into all the things I still have to do as part of the details!!! AAHH!! So much to do.....

You are still ahead of me! I have the hall, the church and my dress. That is it. Only 6.5 months until my big day!
