has anyone ordered their gown without trying a sample?
I have not found the dress I want in several bridal shops I have been to- thinking about having them just order the gown from the picture- has anyone done this and were you happy with the results and If you werent were you able to trade for another dress?

I would definitely try it on first. There were many dresses I loved in pictures and just didn't look right when I tried them on. Have you tried contacting the designer directly? They can usually tell you who has a samples of their dresses.

IMO - i wouldn't do that. what you love in a magazine may not be right for your body-type. i think if you ask most of the girls - they will tell you they ended up picking a dress that is nothing like what they thought they wanted - myself included!!!

Yes Ive contacted some- and the shops I went to never had that dress- they just carry that particular line- so Ill keep trying the shops- bound to find something

When I was looking Bridal Suite of Centereach had said they would order a gown for me & if it came in & I didn't want it they would keep it for their sample & I think it would have only cost me like $100.

I tried on a gown I fell in love with in the picture, it looked terrible on me. Then I tried on a dress that I HATED from the internet pic cuz they had my size in the store & I LOVED it!!! Just ordered it last weekend! So def. try it on cuz you just never know!

I could have.... I found the dress 6 months before FI proposed, and I knew, I mean I KNEW it was my dress! As soon as I put it on, my thoughts were confirmed, and ordered it a week later with my MIL!
