I am using trumpets! For the pre-ceremony when people arrive, ceremony and using their pianist for the cocktail hour. The whole thing is around $950. Kingsbrass.com.

We're using Royal Brass for our wedding. Usually, the going price for a musician now a days is about $100/hour.I definitely think it's worth it. We're using the trumpets and strings for our wedding mass and I can't wait to hear how it will all sound together.
