Has anyone re-sized there eng. ring?

Has anyone re-sized there eng. ring?

I notice after a several months of wearing my ...that it is way to big. I noticed it when I was trying on wedding bands. I took my e-ring off and to put the band first and my e-ring was so loose and could slip off quickly. THe e-ring fits perfect on my right hand.

I always get nervous..leaving my rings to get re-sized with the jewelers. I get nervous...because they could easily switch stones. Does, anyone know where I could purchase the small maginifying glass that they use to look at the clarity of the diamonds

thanks!!!

I am really paranoid about that as well!! it was also from the jewler where my fh bought the diamond from ( he actually got the band in one place and the diamond from another lol)

I got imine resized at the same place it was bought. I later went to another place just for a different appraisal, and everything was OK.

When I got the ring, it was a size 6. i had it re-sixed to a 3.5 and it was still too loose around my finger. i took it back and they put tiffany nubs on it. it still slids on my finger, but to get it over my knuckle i need soapy water. i was very comfortable w/the jeweler and had no prob leaving it with them.

yes i am!! when i had it resized the first time, they said it was the smallest band they had ever done. its funny because it seems so small when my fh holds it.

I had my ring resized by the jewler FH bought it from.. we went to his house so he could size me and then he had to take it into his office the next day and FH picked it up in the city the next day.. He is a very good friend of the family, so I was not nervous at all

I had balls put in because it was only a little too big. It used to spin around on my finger. Now it stays in place.

I got mine resized and it took about 10 minutes. I wouldn't ever leave my ring anywhere either, it's not smart regardless of the reputation of the jeweler. But, most places will do it in front of you so that's not really a problem.

Mine was a size 4 when I got it, but in the winter when it was very cold it would slide. I had it resized there. It took about an hour, but I looked at it under their lights and with their microscope things to make sure it was the same, and compared it to my cert. The cert. should detail any little details, so any other jeweler could check and make sure it is the same.

I got mine resized right after we got engaged. I felt more secure because I went to the place where he purchased the ring. If your diamond is GIA ceritified there should be a serial # enscribed onto the diamond. The jeweler should show you the diamonds, its flaws and the enscription before and after it is resized.

Good luck!

i got balls put on the inside of both my wedding and engagment rings - this way, i can easily get them taken out if i ever get preganant, fingers get bigger, etc.....both fit fine at the first fittings and i never notced how big my e ring until we picked up our bands and i thought the band was too big - felt stupid when the jewler pointed out my e ring was the same - so they did both for us!

I think I need to get this done to my ring... when my hands are cold my ring could slide off, but when my hands are warm the ring is fine. I'm worried that the balls will cut into my finger when my hands are warmer. Do you ladies have this problem?

I can understand your nervousness not wanting to leave your ring. Could it just be the weather? I know my other rings can feel like they are too small at times and too big at others.
