Has anyone read 'The Host' - Stepanie Meyer?

I was just in Borders and saw, was about to buy it, then figured I'd find out if it was any good first (plus i didn't have any coupons with me and we know I don't shop without them! lol).

Oh and Amy - if you're reading - I started readin Interview with a Vampire and I really like it! Definitely going to read the whole series!

no problem... its way more interesting story than twilight... and the characters are much more well developed than twlight...

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked The Host. I have it at home if you'd like to borrow. I also have the entire Anne Rice series, though I stopped at like book 8.

i'll take you up on the offer for the Host. I actually already have the next 2 books in the Anne Rice series so I might bug yah for the rest of them

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked The Host. I have it at home if you'd like to borrow. I also have the entire Anne Rice series, though I stopped at like book 8.

Absolutely!! The Anne Rice books are really good but they get kinda... out there the further along you go.

ETA: And then you're gonna read the Hunger Games and you're going to thank me.

The Host was awesome. Way more adult that Twilight.

What is this Ann Rice series that you guys have been talking about. ?

i am a Stephenie Meyer fan! The host was great. It was a little slow to get into but ended up being really good.

thats bc anne got very religious after her daughter died. I met her and she went on and on about her relationship w god and i was like um...you used to write books filled w murder, homosexuality and incest! lol

i stopped reading them after i dunno..pandora maybe

will do! I'm definitely gonna read at least up until Queen of the Damned bc I loved the movie. I'll how I feel it's going at that point lol

I read the host - started out a little weird and slow - but i liked the book over all


definitely worth the read!

By the way, THE HOST was AMAZING! Def worth the read...I couldn't put it down!

Excellent! I really loved the series. I read them in like 3 days on my HM! DH read them and loved them, too.

ETA: It's a young adult series- but it's pretty heavy stuff for kids, IMO!
