Try to hotel colection at Macys. Most of the designs are pretty neutral & will go with everything.

We haven't registered for bedding yet. We're actually house shopping right now, so once we have a house and have decided on a color scheme for the bedroom, I'll start looking for bedding for the registry.

Re: Has anyone registered for bedding yet??
I registered at Fortunoff and I had the hardest time with bedding. This is what we finally agreed on. It is really great quality and not too frilly and not too manly.
The picture doesn't really do it justice. It has thin stripes and is a celedon color. It also comes in an amber color.
Kathleen I am going to tell you what Fortunoff told us. Do not register for your bedding until about 4 months or so before your wedding. The reason is that often, bedding is seasonal and could possibly not be available closer to your wedding or when someone might have a shower for you. Your wedding is almost a year away. I would wait. Also, if you and FH don't already have a place to live, you may not know how you are going to decorate. Just something to think about. We aren't registering for our bedding until the end of September for our February 06 wedding.

This is the one part of registering that I am very undecisive. Blenders, mixers, panini makers are easy. Bedding is not Fun

Re: Has anyone registered for bedding yet??
My advice is to NOT register for bedding yet.
I'm a Planner for Bed Bath & Beyond, and bedding patterns (and other fashion related items) are disc'd within 6-12 months. If you register now, it is very likley that pattern you chose will be dropped by the time your wedding/shower comes. Basic houseware itmes (small electrics, pots, cookware, etc) are safer at this point.

we had a really hard time with the bedding also. We ended up with a very simple, basic comforter and different colored sheets.

If I may make one more suggestion: consider a down comforter with a Duvet cover. I know at BedBath a lot of our comforter sets tend to be more traditional, and Duvets are more - 'our generation'. The store in Sayville and Westbury are good LI locations to check out.
