Has anyone seen any great deals on digital cameras and printers?
We all chipped in and got my mom a new computer for christmas. If possible we want to get her a digital camera and definitely get her a printer. She doesn't need anything that high tech, just something very easy to use. Since we already spent so much $$$ on her computer, we will only get her a camera if there is a great deal. Anyone see anything?

Check PC richards! I was there yesterday. They have a VERY affordable 3.2 megapix (maybe $150?), plus they're offering that 'spend XXX, and we'll give you a giftcard for XXX.'

I just bought my father in law an HP 635 from Tiger Direct for christmas. It was $69.99 after a $20 mail in rebate. The camera is only 2.1mp but it has optical zoom and digital zoom. The kodak camera above doesnt have that. I have a kodak DX3700 point and shoot camera, and I love the camera, I just wish it had Optical zoom. The digital zoom always makes the pictures blurry. Scott

Based on your recommendation and a little research, I just bought the same one for my SIL for her birthday this month. Thanks!! What a deal - and your right...you will not be able to find this kind of deal with an optical zoom!

This might be a dumb question but can you print normal pages from a photo printer, like print out an email or something?

Mine is just 4x6 sized to print only photos, but it wasn't that expensive. I think there are more expensive ones out there that do both...
