Has Anyone Turned...

...a pin/brooch into a hair clip/pin?

If so, how'd you do it? Was it easy/hard? Would turning it into a comb be easier than a clip?

The method you'd use in part depends on if it's a 'fun' piece or good quality jewelry that you're trying to convert.

It's hard to answer without knowing the materials you're working with. Hot-melt glue might work OK to hold the new hairclip or pin back in place. I used to use that for attaching the pin backs when I had a costumve jewelry business several years ago. Depending on size and placement you may need to remove or cut off the pin back.
