Hi...... I wish i could help you... I will be using Jerry for my wedding next year and I loved him. Did you see his work? OMG i thought it was absolutely great (i was almost in tears watching it ).
Did you try asking him for some references? I think if he made you feel comfortable and special during your initial meeting that is important. We chose him because we felt he would put 110% effort into making our video the best. He is the owner and is very hands on.

Thanks May.. When I met with him yesterday, my FI and I felt very comfortable with him and really liked his work...
JimmysBride - You and May are the only ones that have responded to me about Bliss so I have no other information for you...

I am also using him. I didn't ask for references. We liked his work and booked him. At that time, he was very affordable, so we couldn't resist.

I didn't ask for references. Both my FH and I felt immediately comfortable with him and booked him the very next day.
And he's pretty affordable too.
Did you know he is also getting married? His wedding is the week after mine.

I also like Bliss. I may use Lina Jang as well. I think they are both very good. My FI isn't as conbinved because they are fairly new and he thinks that even though they are slightly cheaper than more experienced photographers - he thinks they are charging a bit too much for their level of experience. He maintains that we are at a higher risk with newer vendors.
We had a friend use a new photographer and come away with about 10 decent pictures because he messed up the shutter speed. She is so upset and said not to use any new photographers.
I think Lina and Jerrry are great and don't think they'd mess anything up - but expereince is worth something.
Anyway - my reason for posting is to find out if anyone negotiated the price or asked for other items to be included in their packages.
I know there is a discount for cash and for using both services but did anyone try to negotiate on top of this?

May - no, I didn't know he was getting married..
As for the new vendor thing... I'm not too worried about that with the videography... he's been doing it for 7 years so that's not that bad. I asked Lina how long she's been doing pics and she said about 4 years.. and I don't know if you know this, but all her pics are digital, no film but I don't know what your preference is.
I can't believe that about your friend That's horrible...
As far as negotiating, I never got that far. We are still going to look around... he was the only video we saw but we did like the work a lot. I was hoping to get a lot more feedback..

My friend who just had her wedding and I was the MOH, used Bliss productions. Her video guy was Jerry. He was soooo nice very personable. He worked really well with her photographer too. She used Paken. Steve was the photographer. She did not get the video back yet, but I will let you know. She went with one of the bigger packages.
