We had a bad experience with my bachelorette party (m)
We used them in July and it was bad! My friends rented a 10 passenger white stretch to take us from Port Jeff to the city and then to a concert at Giants Stadium. First off, the driver was a 1/2 hour late to the first pickup location and had no idea where he was going from there. When he finally got to us the car had no A/C and it was over 85 degrees out! We fought with the main office for another 1/2 hour to get a replacement car with air. They send an eight passenger black car which we squished into and head on our way - running over an hour behind. The entire time the driver is mean and making nasty comments. He has no idea how to get into Manhattan. The moonroof, CD/radio, and privacy screen did not work at all and the car wasn't even stocked with soda! We finally get to Giants stadium and he refuses to drop us by the entrance and parks on the other side of the complex so we had to walk over 20 minutes to get to the show. The trip home was no better - when we finally got to my friends house at 3 in the morning (he forgot to check for construction and we sat in traffic in Queens forever!) he drives well past her house up the road and wouldn't even turn around to drop us off because it was 'out of his way'. Needless to say we crossed them off our potential list for our wedding. Everyone we dealt with was so nice until a problem came up. My husband is also good friends with a mechanic who services their cars and he swears they are all nasty and in desperate need of repair. I know there will be some who disagree with me, but our experience was horrible!

We used Genesis Limo...
I had never heard of them, but the PJCC highly recommended them. We were so happy with their services. Since our ceremony & reception were at the same location we didn't have the same limo needs as other brides. We got 2 10 passenger white Lincolns for 4 hours to drive us around for photos and then a pickup after the reception to take us back to Danford's and if I remember correctly it cost us $840. They actually made 2 trips to get everyone back to the hotel for us. The owner Jack was so nice to deal with. He actually tried to talk me out of 2 cars to try & save me money. That was a nice change. The guy at M&V was trying to sell me some crazy package and then got nasty when I explained that wasn't what I needed. If you have any others questions feel free to call on me! Michele

We used Genesis Limo...
Thanks! Where did you go for pictures? We're deciding on whether or not to see each other beforehand to take pictures. If we do, we're not sure where to take them? Do you think the grounds at the Country Club are good enough? Thanks again.

We used Genesis Limo...
We decided to see each other before the ceremony and we are really glad we did. We shot a bunch of pictures at Danford's then we went down to the beach that is adjacent to the PJCC. We got the most incredible pictures there! Next we went up to the country club and shot our posed family pictures on the property which was gorgeous and in full bloom. What photographer are you using?

We're using Paul Marino Photography...
We're probably going to see each other beforehand. I think it'll relieve some stress. I'm already nervous and it's more than 9 months away. But I definitely can't wait. I honestly don't know how we can afford it though. I've been unable to find a job, my father got laid off, my fiance' father got laid off. We're just too far into it to back out now. I'll find a way to pay for it. It means that much to me.

My thoughts are with you...
I'm so sorry to hear of your difficulties. Wedding planning is so consuming - as much as I enjoyed it I'm glad it's over!! As far as seeing your hubby beforehand - we truly believe it was more special for us to be alone together for that first sighting. We didn't feel 'on display' and we were able to really share our emotions with each other. If you need any advice or just want to chat, please feel free to get in touch . My e-mail is [email protected]. Good luck - the next 9 months will fly by! MicheleWelcome New Vendors
