I am getting close to picking my photographer (hopefully next week). I was looking for feedback on them.

i know someone who's daughter just used them and she said they were not happy w/ the proofs they just saw b/c they missed a lot of important things. but truthfully this is only coming from one person and the pictures might come out better than the proofs. just giving you a heads up!!!

I met with silverfox today. I thought they seemed really really good. Everything is digital so you gets LOTS of pictures and get the cd with all your pictures on it. You can hire 1 photographer with assistant or 1 photographer with assistant and photojournalist. I love this idea since you then get all the candids too. Since they are digital, there is no limit on the number of shots they shoot. I am definitely leaning towards them or Paul Marino.
Met with Patken, Viewpoint, Paul Marino and Silverfox today.
In my mind, viewpoints albums were not of the same quality as other places. Plus, since she uses film you are paying the same money for a lot less proofs. Patken seemed too 'packaged' for me. Even the photojournalist style was 'posed' to look candid. Not my style. They seemed 'wedding factory' to me.
Just my thoughts.

my brother used them for his wedding & they were not really happy with the pictures...They had the same complaint that there were pictures missing that were on their 'must take' list. It also took then 1 1/2 years to get their album. They had their pictures picked out in Jan 04 & we just got the album 3 weeks ago...But if you like their work, you do what is best for you

We used them last December and were thrilled! Our pictures were amazing and our video is unbelievable. My friend also used them last fall and had the same results, and her album is wonderful (I haven't even picked my pictures yet). I know I really did my homework though, and you must feel comfortable with who you choose. Just my 2 cents!

If they ordered their book in Jan 04, how could it have taken a year and a half to get it (that would be July 2005!) ???

I booked them for my wedding coming up in April '05. I was impressed with their work, and heard good things about them. I also like the non-package or a-la-carte approach... you don't have to lock yourself into any album choices until you actually see your proofs...

We are using the in November and we love them. We had our engagement pics with them and can't wait for the wedding day. Our friends used them and their pics came out fabulous with no problems.

I love their pics on their website. I've met with them about a month ago and have the price list. I just haven't been as happy with anyone else I've met with and have scheduled another appointment for next week. I just needed to see what everyone's feedback is. Keep them coming!

I booked them,but my wedding is next month. I'v e never heard thatstuff about them missing important stuff. They gave me a detailed list of what they usually do & DO not take.
January to September is a little long for albums,I think they told me 6 months, from when you pick it all out. There may have been extenuating circumstances.

Kristine - I have seen your video on their website and you have to be the MOST beautiful bride there ever was! I was hoping to give the photographer some 'sample' pictures that I would like re-created. Aside from that, I'm sure the typical standard list will match mine. I was thinking of having the best man's wife hold a list with all the shots I am requesting. Since she will be with me the whole day, I can have her check them off as we take them. Of course, I know there will be no guarantee they will come out great, but at least I will know they took it. Is that too controlling of me?

No they were married in Feb 03 & did not have proofs until summer of 03...Then by the time they handed their proofs in, which was Jan 04, they got their albums 3 weeks ago...Mind you, their video was not done until july 04...

We got our proofs in about 4 weeks as did my friend. Not sure why it took your SIL so long but its sounds unusual. Of course, I'm just partial because I've had an amazing experience with them!
