has anyone written their own vows?

can you please post the vows? FH wants to write them and i'm kind of freaking out about it.

i have no idea where to start ... but i think i want to end it with:
'this is the last time i'm ever going to be able to say 'I Love You, fiance' ... next time i tell you that I love you, you will be my husband'

... what do we think?

I think you will be fine!

Just write from the heart!

Keep a small notebook with you and whenever you think of something that FI does that makes you smile or 'love him even more' write it down!
Think if you want the vow to be super romantic? Silly? Funny? Is there something silly that you & FI say to each other that only you two know? I would include something like that. :)

Some tips I've read online include keeping it under 30 seconds.

Whatever it is I'm sure your FI will love it because it'll be from the heart!

And sorry, I'm not sharing mine because well it's unique to FI and I. But it's silly, romantic, fun, private jokes. And short!

ETA: I just read through my prelim vows that I wrote and this is how it's broken down:
1. dedication. To my love, to my friend, etc
2. something about the significance of the wedding day
3. a promise ( I included something silly in here. something I do that drives the FI bonkers that I promise to be better about)
4. Looking forward to...
5. 'closing' I love you note. Do this in your own words!

I'd love to do our own, but I know I'll already be too overly emotional and I'm not sure I could get through them...
I was told that only 40 - 50% of couples initially choose to do their own and out of those, only 15% or so end up actually doing so.

I think it would be amazing to, and if you can get through it without blubbering like me, then gerbera's advice sounds right on the money! Go for it!!!

and Jenny, i have NO idea how i'll go ahead with the vows without crying like a baby .... i'm tearing up just thinking about it! lol ... oh well ... maybe i'll find a way to close-caption my vows
