Has anyone's FH ever played paintball?

Has anyone's FH ever played paintball?

My FH wants to play paintball with his buddies for his bachelor party. I have no problem with it but I don't want to see him come back injured. He's a computer geek and so are all his buddies. They have never done this before. I imagine those wedding horror stories shows where the groom is in a full cast! hehe. I'm sure they will all be fine. The only time they can do it is 1 week before the big day. Anyone's FH play?

FH played when he was younger. As far as I know, he never came home injured (other than his ego). As long as your FH doesn't jump out of a tree or anything, he should be fine!!

My FH and my bro's and my dad (who has a bad back) play every year on vacation... and not one comes back injured...

I'm sure your FH will be fine!!! Maybe a black & blue here and there... but tell his friends to shoot him AWAY from the face!

Hehe good advice, thanks! I never knew paintball games were 4-5 hours. I told him, if it was me I'd quit in the middle of the game! They'll have fun!

I have played paintball before - I have never heard of anyone getting seriously injured....it is so much fun!

My FH played w/ my best friend's DH and brothers... he came back with this huge knot on his forehead, all proud of himself as if he actually accomplished something. No major injuries though. Make sure the bachelor party is a few weeks in advance so any bruises have time to heal!

Since its just one week before the wedding, and there is the possibility of bruising on his face -- any chance you can convince them to play laser tag instead? LOL

Just make sure it's not close to the wedding date. Before I met my FH he played and he said he came back with a few red marks and welts where the paint hit him and he didn't have padding on. But he LOVES it!

My borthers goes all the time and they get really into it. I think the wear some protective gear (I know goggles). They have never been injured. The are prety rough guys too and have millions of sports injuries but no paintball injuries!

Cute idea for a bachelor party.

My EXFH used to play all the time. As long as he wears all the protective gear he should be ok. He may have bruises up the wazoo because those things HURT when they hit you.

FH and I have played paintball!! I even have a paintball gun!! lol It's alot of fun.. like kp says as long as he wears his goggles and what not, he should be ok...

Good to hear that I shouldn't expect too many war injuries! He'll have head/face gear. The only time they could get the whole group of them in is one week before the wedding. I think they are considering a comedy club, dinner, or going to 'strike LI' afterwards. FH thinks that it may be too much. I'm not butting in!

um yeah, FH goes about twice a year, he always comes back banged up somehow. BUT HE LOVES IT!

Same with my FH...not only was he bruised last time but he could barely move! I would try to see if they can do it at least 2 weeks before the big day. You don't want a husband-to-be barely making it down the aisle!

As an aside, my FH is also thinking of paintball for his bachelor party and we have the 'two-week rule' in effect. Looking on the bright side, I guess it's better than a strip club...

Re: Has anyone's FH ever played paintball?

Please.....Guess what my DH and his buddies did the MORNING of the WEDDING?!!!! Yep, you guessed it...PAINTBALL!! I knew about it beforehand and tried to talk him out of it but no way! They were definately doing it no matter what! I was so nervous that they would all walk in w/big black eyes and broken noses!!
So while the girls were all getting pretty, the guys were all being little boys in the mud(of course it was raining and it's outside!)
You'll all get to see it when our story FINALLY airs on the wedding story in may!
Don't worry, he'll be fine! They had a BLAST! :)

my FH played paintball with his friends this past summer. It is a long game, because you do different scenarios. He had a lot of fun, but came home with lots of welts and bruises.

Don't worry, they get to wear goggles and such. Nothing serious could happen, it is only paint.

I used to play paintball and you can get some mean welts. I got one in my leg and one in my head. If FH is not bald, you really have nothing to worry about. If he is, I recommend a hat! The more padding you wear the less serious the welt, but never any black eyes! Goggles are mandatory!

My FH plays a lot -- never comes back too injured. Just a few bruises at most. This summer on vacation he played with my brother, father, cousins and uncles and they all came back OK!

FH played once. He had a great time, but he came back with huge welts all over his body!

An ex used to go and he got hit in the nose ( ) which ended up swollen but I dont think he got a black eye or anything, and it only last a couple of days. Oh and he got poison ivy going once ( )

Tell them ALL to wear long pants and long sleeves to prevent the poison ivy and I agree with the poster above that said - no aiming for the face.
