mine definiteily is .. i've been using nioxin .. you can buy it from most beauty stores. i'm not really sure if its making my hair thicker, but i knwo that my hair isn't getting any thinner now. i'm on my second bottle of the shampoo/conditioner so we'll see..

Mine too! I've been chalking it up to wedding stress, trying to buy a house stress, and getting older (32yrs). It ****s, I will have to try some rogaine soon or nioxin.

I really though about using rogaine. But it takes about 8 MONTHS to start seeing a difference!
I will look into Nioxin. Thanks! I thought it was just me till my mom told me and now I am bummed.

YES!!! OMG! I'm so glad I'm not alone! I keep having nightmares that I wake up on the wedding day with bald spots all over!!! I've convinced myself it's the wedding stress, plus the change in weather. My hair has stopped falling out, but it's definately thinner than usual. I've been taking Woman's One A Day vitamins. I guess it's been helping! Good luck ladies!

OMG I think about the same thing. I am so worried I will have no hair come the wedding. I now its weight loss related. I lost 15 pds last year and I put some of it back on.

mine did, but i also color my hair every 6 - 8 weeks. I also put mouse in my hair everyday.
When I need a haircut i shed like a dog.
Once i have my hair cut it looks great.
though i am convinced as the wedding gets closer i am going to be bald. we're building a house next year so between having a house built and the wedding next year i am going to be bald

sonia - After you have a baby your hormone levels drop to what they were before you were pregnant and the extra hair that you had when you were pregnant falls out. My daughter is 7 months old.

Actually, the pregnancy hair thing really means that all your hair follicles are growing at the same rate (which normally never happens!), AND your hair also falls out less due to all the vitamins you are taking. So, your hair during pregnancy will seem fuller and in most cases, it really is.
After you give birth, your hormone levels drop and your hair goes back to its normal patterns of falling out and re-growth. It's not as if you are losing more hair and have less than you had before you were pregnant...it just seems that way b/c it got so full during the 10 months of pregnancy.

I was reeeaaally sick last year and as a result alot of my hair fell out this past summer/fall. On the advice of a few people, I started taking pre-natal viatmins (wedding isn't till September and I am NOT trying to get pregnant) and they seem to be working on my hair. Its growing back thicker and faster. Some of you may want to try it.

My cousin keeps telling me to take pre-natal vitamins! She said her hair and nails grew like mad! Where can I find them? I can't seem to find them on the shelves anywhere. I thought my cousin mentioned that they were kept behind the counter now.

Jenny my gyn told me to start taking prenatals & I have-I am taking Centrum for now. Try it.
My hair also falls out alot. I even went as far as to go to a dermatologist once ..they checked & tested my scalp & hair strands & found nothing wrong. I have been this way, since I am 15, and I still have alot of hair. I guess I shed alot.
It is normal to shed 100 hairs a day, and some people shed more.

Jenn, I've been losing a lot of hair over the past year. I'd estimate that I've lost about half of my hair already...no exaggeration. I have to clean the shower drain out every morning (I know gross! ) I tried hair & nail vitamins, but they didn't seem to do much. I'm wondering if it could be related to my birth control? I have an appointment with the gyn. next month and plan on discussing it with her. In the meantime I'll be purchasing Centrum or prenatal vitamins!
