HAS FH SEEN YOUR DRESS?

Ok, I am having a very hard time not showing my FH a picture of my dress. I normally share everything with him, it's just so hard. Did any of you show your FHs a pic of your dress? It's kinda like a Christmas present... You want to know what it is, but you don't. I want to show him, but I really don't b/c I want him to be surprised. But it's a whole ten months away! I guess what I'm really asking is how do I contain myself? How do I not show him?!

I have no desire to see my fw in her dress until that magical day. Then my emotions will run wild, and my dreams will finally come true. It should be special so don't show it to him. Plus that old wives tail that it is bad luck to see the dress before the wedding.

I had a hard time tooo, but I held out. Even up until the rehearsal, when the priest was telling my DH where to walk and mentioned the big gown, but I tried to trip him up and say maybe not a big dress you have to walk around.
I really wanted it to be a surprise, so his mouth dropped when he saw me. It was hard b/c we share everything too. But its worth it in the end. He loved my dress and still mentions it now and then.

Nope! In my culture, if the groom sees the bride's wedding dress before the wedding day, it serves as a bad luck. I guess, it's a supersitious kind of thing. But I'm following it.

i hea yah! im right with you...me and FH tell ALL to each other and he has helped with EVERY choice thus far and we live together and i have my dress...in ym closet and i want to rip the bag open all the time and dance around in it to show him......

No - I have a picture of it in my binder which he occasionally looks in, so I also left about 5 others in there so he wouldn't know which one was 'the one.'

I want him to see my dress soooo bad but he will not let me show him! He wont even look at pics of dresses I dont like!! UGH Its frustrating!!!!!!!!!

ive described my dress to other people while FH was around and people are like noo not in front of him and even if i described it in the most minute of detail.. he still would have no clue what it looks like.

we're getting married first in vegas.. and then again 2 weeks later out here.. and he's still not allowed to see the dress

I totally understand what you;re going through-I share everything with my FH and I love asking for his opinion. BUT, I am definately not going to let him see it. I LOVE my dress and can't wait until he sees it for the first time on me as I walk down the aisle.

No definitly not. Even though its hanging in our house. He wont even look at pics of wedding dresses.. mine or otherwise.. hes afraid I will trick him! lol

i'm not showing FH until the wedding day!! i want him to be surprised! it's hard b/c i usually share everything with him, but it's so important to me that he doesn't see it, that the urge to show him a pic has subsided.

no, it is sooo hard not to show him, but i know that it is bad luck. he also has no desire to see it either which is a good thing... i don't think that i would be able to contain myself if he wanted to see it

I do the same thing. I've had my dress since January and have managed to hold out. And I am the WORST secret keeper ever. You can do it and will be happy you did!!
