Has gum just turned into rubber over the years?

I used to chew a lot of gum but hardly ever do now because it just hurts my jaw after a while.

Anyway, for some reason I decided to buy a case of Orbit Bubblemint when I was at Costco and I swear, it's like a rubberband after about ten minutes if even!!!



ETA: I guess my point was, I don't remember this being my old gum chewing experience.

orbit tends to do that--- I'm not a fan.

I like Dentyne White or something like that--- it's square toothpaste to me

Dentyne Fire lasts a pretty long time - I'm chewin' it right now

A CASE!? That's a lot of gum! I really like Extra--I think it maintains flavor longer. I have been using Orbit White though--we got a bunch free...It does lose flavor quickly, and is like rubber....
