has this happened to anyone...

has this happened to anyone...

So I got blood work from my regular doctor and my allergist. The lab sent me a notice to pay my copay. I went online and paid the 20 dollars and then it said please click to see other invoices. I did and it said no payment is required. So I am catching up on my mail today and opened up a notice from them...this is the 3rd notice we have made several attempts please make a payment or we will refer this account to collections. I went on and it said I owe 20 dollars so I paid it. I am annoyed because when it said check other invoices I thought they would be linked so I didn't think I had a payment. Is this going to ruin my credit score?

It will not affect your credit score bc it was never reported. It is very rare even on delinquent of small fees of $20 that they submit to collections.

Thank you so much!! When I opened the letter I almost had a panic attack because me and FH are buying a house. I am so crazy about paying my bills on time and was nervous something so silly would effect my credit score.

i can tell you from experience, they will not affect your score. I use to pay them like months late all the time, and it was more then once I did this. My credit score is great. You will have no problems!

Doctor's bills don't go to your score unless they're actually in collections and a lawyers involved, at least that's what I've found.

You should definitely call the lab though and find out what their deal is because if they do end up sending it to a collections agency you'll get notices from them and eventually it could go to your credit score.
