Does anyone ever question whether they chose the right gown or even see pics of other gown's they like better? I love my gown, but I see pictures all the time of other gowns that I would have like to try on or that even look prettier than mine and I kind of get upset. I wonder if I made the right choice and just hope I look beautiful the day of my wedding. I am afraid I will not. Here is a pic of my dress (which I love) I just sometimes wish I picked a dress with organza or the new style 'pinched' dresses.
it's funny.. but I remember that one day I saw this other girl try on the most beautiful dress and I, of course, had to ask the bridal consultant to let me try that dress on too.. and when I put it on it was absolutely terrible.
I wouldn't question the choice you made. i'm sure your dress is beautiful and you'll be beautiful in it.

Your right. I tried on 100 dresses and all different styles. But most looked better on the rack or on someone else.

Re: Has/did anyone question their wedding gown?
I can relate to this 100% I ordered my gown and I came across another one I thoguht I wanted more, I've been having so much dress drama, I tried to cancel and then I couldn't so now theres nothing I can do about it (I basically sell the gown or eat the money) the dress I picked IS beautiful but I wish I had waited longer to get my dress because I am not 100% about it. I hear a lot of stories of brides getting their dress and then changing their minds (my best friend being one of them) I think once you pick your gown you have to STOP looking completely or you will drive yourself NUTS!!!!! jellybean, I'm not kidding you here at all. You need to understand that I'm dead serious here.
When I saw YOUR gown, I thought that if I had tried it on, I would have picked it over mine.
So when it comes to 'the grass is always greener', keep in mind that others are envious of your dress too!!
I think that yours is spectacular, but I don't regret my choice.

Every Single DAY! I know I settled simply b/c the dress I really wanted cost double what I paid for the one I got. I am hoping that I will love it once I lose some weight and get it altered...

yes! i bought a dress last july, but just returned it and bought a brand new gown from a totally different store! it's my dream dress and exactly what i wanted. i can't believe i did it 2 months before my wedding, but i'd been doubting it for almost a year. if you doubt it as strongly as i did, you need to do something about it. if you only doubt it because you see 'prettier' dresses, stop looking!

Re: Has/did anyone question their wedding gown?
I agree I had the same problem with my dress which I ordered just a few weeks ago. I tried on 30 dresses of varying style but didnt really look too hard 'cus I know what style would look best on me. Then stumbled upon a dress online and almost bought that site unseen. i did get to try it on though before ordering it online.
Now I wonder if I shortchanged myself by only giving myself two weeks to look for a dress. Hehe..
The dress you picked out is lovely, and you have to remember how good it looks on you and forget browsing through anymore bridal mags! :)

I completely felt this way. A lot. I still do. mine isdue to come in this week and I cannot wait to see it. I am confidant as others have told me that I will fall inlove with it again when i try on MY dress not the sample. But I have thought I didn't like it anymore or that my FH would think I look ridiculous.
I absolutely LOVE your dress and I promise I am not just saying that. It is so elegant and classy. You are going to be beautiful!
Here is mine

I lost a $400 deposit, because I changed my mind. I feel sick with guilt about it all the time.
But I know I made the right decision. I LOVE love love love my new dress. the other one, I kept trying to figure out ways to change it. I would suggest going to the salon to try on your dress everytime you think you doubt it. You will probably fall in love with it all over again!

I did too... and then my sister said something that stuck with me. There will always be dresses that might be prettier on the hangar - you just have to remember how you felt in yours.... My sister said I just lit up when I put mine on.

That's a good way to look at it.
I had an idea what I wanted when I went into the store and after seeing everyone's beautiful dresses I had doubts, maybe I should've looked around more. Over the weekend my mom was showing my dad's side of the family pics of me in my dress and I fell in love with it again.

Re: Has/did anyone question their wedding gown?
I think that for a lot of us, there is more than THE ONE dress that we could wear and love and look beautiful in on our wedding day. I saw dresses all the time on here that I thought were gorgeous and when I had doubts I visited my sample and tried it on. I felt like a princess in it. Could I have found another dress that would have been just as good? probably..but I was SO happy with mine. I think if you are truly unhappy with it, you should find one you love but otherwise, STOP looking!

I'm with ya! I question mine all the time because it is soooo traditional. Then I go and try it on and I almost come to tears when I see myself in it!! I get the chills and I just fall in love all over again!

Yes! And my FI knew how I was feeling and he said 'If you get 2 dresses I won't marry you' (meaning like to change into 1/2 way through) I had said that as a joke once.

Re: Has/did anyone question their wedding gown?
I am going through this right now.
I saw my dress online as soon as I was engaged and got into my head that it was 'the one.'
I bought it last July and haven't seen it since. My first fitting is the 16th so I'll know then if I still love it but..... I'm nervous.
