So ok i find out today that my girls BM dresses are in! ordered them what seems to be forever ago so i was soo excited they were finally here! too impatient to wait till after work to see them, i went to the dress store during lunch to see them!
ok soo i saw them! and i dont like them!!! (less than 3months till the wedding)
The problem: ok the dress is tiffany blue! (that part i like) it has a sash so the sash i ordered was suppose to be ocean colored it looks grey!!! and soo ugly! I didnt put these colors together it was paired like that on the website! now,i know the colors tend to be different than how they look on the website, but if the designer pairs them together shouldnt they at least go together!! because oh boy these two colors do not look right together!!
my maid of honor's has a maternity dress and is the opposite colors soo its mostly that ugly grey color!
I dont know what to do!! They mentioned something like i can order fabric and alter the sash and change the color! but thats prob gonna cost a pretty penny! would it be cheaper to order new dresses for the girls?? and i cant exactly make my girls pay cost for the alterations and dresses! so that leaves it all on me!!!!
what should i do! i dont wanna be one of those girls that have ugly BM dresses that their girls are all dreading to wear! I mean im sure the dresses will look better once they are on and fitted...but you gotta tell me what you think!!
those colors def dont go. i would order new dresses ONLY if they can guarntee them to come in on time. WITHOUT SASHES!!!
can u take out the sashes? and just order ur moh a new dress?

I think you could work with them, maybe have someone try it on, you might like it better. Once you have flowers and nice jewelry and hair and make up and YOU in a gown the dress sash matching wont be as in the forefront

Either buy or order new sash that matches your BM's dresses in Tiffany Blue. They sell them at Express, Century 21 Department Stores, Forever 21...or check with Ebay vendors for a customized order of the sash. Since you will ordering a few, the vendor might even throw in a discount/free shipping. Or better yet, go to a fabric store and buy yards of the Tiffany blue fabric and get someone who can sew to do it for you. And save the extra bucks by doing it yourself. At this point, you already have your BM's dresses with the correct size, don't waste money ordering another set of dress. Stick with the Tiffany blue dress and just order sash from somewhere affordable. Do not spend dollars to save nickels and pennies, it's not worth it. Just my two cents.

i agree... i dont think they look bad. def have one of your bm try it on with jewelry and shoes and see maybe it looks different.

I don't think it looks too bad. I agree show the girls they may like them. And if they don't, just change the sashes and MOH dress....the tiffany blue color is beautiful.

I actually really like the gray color. Would you consider making white sashes to put with each dress, or you really want them to match dress colors? I feel like Tiffany blue and white go together so well. Or sometimes don't they wrap their boxes in red ribbon?
You'll make it work! I definitely think it'll be great to see them on the gals.

If i change the sash im def making it white! not experimenting with any other colors! lol

I agree. I love the blue- but the sash just doesnt seem to look right with the dress. Hopefuly they can do something about it. Hopefully you can also change the MOH sash because I dont want you to regret it later on when you get your pictures back....and Im only being honest because I wouldnt want to hear people telling me its nice when its not okay.
What did the bridal store say about how the colors turned out? Is there any way you can get a deal on the new dress you might have to order from whoever made the dress?

I think they look fine. I think you should have one of your girls try on the dresses because I'm sure it looks much better on than on the hanger.
What type of flowers are you using? I think if you have the girls carry colorful flowers it will draw attention away from the dress and towards the flowers.
Don't spend extra money if you dont have to.

You can buy sashes of different colors ANYWHERE! Michaels, JoAnn's, Walmart, AC Moore, and change the fabric yourself! I just bought a huge Tiffany Blue Sash and it cost me under $5 but you may have to order a new maid of honor dress. If the color isn't accurate then I'd take it up with the dress store!

I think they will look beautiful with the right flowers. What colors are your flowers? Something bright will pop beautifully.

I don't like them together but its not hideous, its ok as a sash. It worse as a MOH dress though. Maybe you can get hers to match the others instead of being reversed. If you do change the sashes then how about ivory. Thats my colors and its very pretty together.
