Those are great articles. I wish there was some way I could anonymously send those to my FMIL. I think she could learn a few things!

Jen, I was just reading that same article on LIF a few days ago and yes she definitely hit the nail on the head. I'd like to know how FMIL reacts to it...maybe I should forward it to mine

Some people on LIF think it was a bad or immatre decision to send it to her. I just think, it's such a desperate situation, she can't possibly hate us more, and it describes her so well, that if there's the remote chance that she'll read it and realize that the way she's been acting is irrational and has nothing to do with us, then maybe she'll wake up and come to her senses.

Re: Have a troublesome FMIL or MIL?

Thanks for posting these! The problems I'm having with FMIL are more along the lines of a total lack of involvement in the wedding. Comments FH have let slip show she had a lack of involvement in his life before the wedding though as well, so why expect her to change now? We've tried to involve her in some things, but she doesn't want to do any of it.

Basically, I don't think we can count on her for much. But thanks for sharing the articles. Some of the information was helpful to me.
