Have any tips for sending out invites????

I am putting invites together today and sending out my invites this week. For the ladies who have done it, any tips?

My sister suggested I number the back of each invite to correlate with the # in excel - so if the person just sends back the response without writing their name I will know who it is.

any other tips???

I think its the response card that needs to be numbered, not the invitation itself? This way if you are missing a response card, you can see which number it is and correlate it to the master list.

Make sure you've had the entire thing weighed at the post office so you get the right postage amount for sure!

And the numbering on the response cards....

That's all I can think of right now....have fun!

It might sound crazy, but I actually numbered the inside of the return envelopes for the response cards lightly so that no one could see it.
It's also a good idea to put stamps on the return envelope. That way your guests are more likely to just fill them out and mail them right back. No excuses that they didn't have time to go buy a stamp!

I thought you HAVE to stamp the return envelope? I don't think that's really an option....

WOOPS I meant # back of response.

I like the idea of putting the # on the response envelope's inside...that way they really won't see what their # is!

You DEFINITELY have to put stamps on the inside envelope! I would say that is a must.

I did already get it weighed...I guess I am good to go!

Ha! My parents recieved an invite with no stamp... they thought the person just forget theirs but NOPE... that was their way of 'cutting corners' pathetic How much is that REALLY saving you?!?!

So funny, i just told my mom she isn't gettting one with a return stamp...but does the 41 cents really matter? :)

41 cents on 150 invites is $61.50

not that i think you should skip it--that's tacky. Postcard replies are a good idea, though. That would save you about $31 in postage. I did my STDs that way, but not necessarily to save postage--just thought it was cute.
