Italy?!?! For some reason I have had it in my head for the Honeymoon. We originally were thinking Tahiti, but for some reason I think Italy would be a great place to go. Let me know if you have been there and anything you would recommend! Thanks Girls!

I spent a week in Itlay & it was fantastic. I think the thing to consider is that it is a very different type of vacation than a beach/tropical vacation. For most of us who don't go to Europe on a regular basis you end up trying to cram alot of sightseeing in & tons of touring and walking. Nothing wrong with that, just different from laying on the beach all day. Many Europeans speak English, but you may also want to consider the language barrier and how confident you are in trying out foreign languages, different money systems, mass transit & finding your way around. I think Italy would be a great HM destination, just wanted to point out some differences to consider.

I have been to Venice... I agree that it's a very different type of trip but it's really nice if you are more into sight seeing than the beach. It's romantic, the shops are fun and the food is AMAZING!

I want to MOVE to italy. seriously! My favorite place in the world.. the entire country is gorgeous- north, south, city, country, VENICE.. ANYWHERE.. love it love it love it!
maybe i biased bc my family comes from there? Im first generation american so i still have alot of family & friends there.
But even still- its AMAZING, italian family or not!

I just booked my honeymoon to Italy not too long ago. 7 nights in Positano and 3 nights in Rome. We are not hopping from place to place but concentrating in one area..the alfmafi coast where we can wind down from all the wedding excitement, relax on the beach and take in the view of the most beautiful, romantic place in the world..so I hear.

LOVE Italy, I'm actually biased bc that is where most of my family and where FH is from. We plan to retire in Sicily.
IMO I've been to Tahiti and Italy and would definitley choose Italy over Tahiti especially in Sept. It's just perfect!
