Have to vent

So a few people haven't gotten their save the date yet and the wedding is in less than 3 months (invitations are going out this weekend if I ever finish them) so I went to FH's house to get a few for those people. FH sys he needs one so I ask is it for someone on the list and he said no. We booked our RH for 200 and the guest list is now at 273. We cannot afford to keep adding every Tom, **** and Harry. Also he's adding people and not telling me which is going to cause a problem the day of. People are going to show up the day of and we are going to have to pay for it. If 10 extra people show up that is 1200 we have to pay the day of. He obviously doesn't see my point. He also wants to hand the people at his job their invitations (he did the same with the save the dates) I don't think it looks proper. We are having a VERY FORMAL wedding.

Awww!! Guys just dont get it sometimes! my FH said a billion times...cant i just hand them their invite! umm NO!! haha!
dont worry im sure you list wont be too crazy! we started at inviting 200 and some how it creeped its way to 260! in my case tho alot of people are out of town and prob wont come anyways.

lol... FH and I are totally opposite then you.
I want to invite EVERYONE and he keeps saying 'no' if it came down to it.. he'd just have his brothers, my brother and our parents and that's it!

obv. you've explained to your FH that he's inviting too man people.. but have you tried telling him that HE has to pay (out of HIS pocket) for these extra people? when it comes down to your own money things change.

how many people can your hall/room fit?

I agree with Megan. Tell him to pay for it himself and see how quickly things change.

I think she will be ok even if she had 400 ppl at the sandcastle but try that and see because it doesn't make sense to go over and you be completely broke after the wedding.
