Have to vent.. I have the worst sinus infection and I am getting married in 8 days..

The doctor gave me such a high dose of medicine I feel so horriable I can't do anything..

try to get lost of rest and drink fluids to clear yourself out (especially with the hot weather)

Mishy, I had the same kind of thing happen to me last week and I was SO upset...my throat is actually still a little sore but I am trying like heck to get rest, drink fluids, etc., and that would be my best recommendation for you too. Take a day off work, if you have to. This is too important!!

You'll be fine in 8 days...just make sure to take all your meds and a little sun this weekend probably wouldn't hurt either!

One word of caution though - if the antibiodics are strong you may want to take acidophilis with it to prevent a yeast infection...thats the last thing you need on your wedding day!

o man that stinks...but 8 days is plenty of time to recover--just take your medicine & stay in the AC & rest! this stupid weather i'm sure isn't helping! to u

8 days is plenty of time to clear you up - especially if you are on a high dose anti. Rest, drink plenty of liquids, rest...I'm so sorry you're going through this - ESPECIALLY now...I can totally empathize (I just had one a few weeks ago).

Mishy! I'm so sorry to hear that!! Antibiotics work pretty quickly, though, and you should be feeling better within three days of starting them. Get LOTS of fluids to keep the mucous thin and plenty of rest, since sinus infections really take your energy.

Delegate some tasks to people around you this week, and don't try to take on everything yourself! There's a lot to do and you don't want to over-exert yourself and be exhausted on your Big Day.

Try not to worry! Worry only takes more energy and makes you feel crappy. Everything will be great! No worries!!

I have one now so I feel your pain! FYI there is a shot my dr gives me and it works like MAGIC. I forgot what it is... ask your DR about it. I had to get the shot a few times, the last time b/c I was traveling and I couldn't get on a plane in the shape I was. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOU GET WELL ASAP!

Mishy - I empathize with you! I have had one going on four weeks now - did your doctor give you a nasal spray? I find that to help a lot and drink plenty of fluids and take tylenol for the headaches. I have to go for a sinus cat scan tomorrow, I am hoping to feel better for my wedding but I have a lot more time then your 8 days! Feel better.

i feel your pain! i have a sinus infection too right now. I have been on antibiotics for days and i finally feel better. drink lots of fluids and rest up! i amsure you will be better by the time you get married

I am sure you will fine by next week. My mom said to get rest, drink alot of fluids, and try not to stress too much (sometimes stress can make you worse). Feel better!

Sorry to hear this!! OMG, I suffer from major sinus problems too. The antibiotics will work!

I know this will sound crazy.... but it does help w/ the headaches. Caffiene! Girl- get someone to get you starbucks or something- coke, anything. I'm sure at this point, you'd try anything, so couldn't hurt! Of course drink extra water so you don't get dehydrated- but, whatever works- good luck! You'll be fine
