When you were a bridesmaid, would/did you prefer to get a keepsake/gift from the bride (aka jewelry, handbag, pashmina) or woul/did you prefer that the bride pay for things like a mani-pedi and massage at a spa?
I'd love ANY input...since I can't afford to do gifts and spa treatments...

i have been 5 times and gottan pahsminas at all of them and don't use again I don't like them. I love jewlery and bags

maybe I've been spoiled as a BM, but the brides gave us gifts that included our jewelry, a small thank you token gift (one was an album, another gave a leather jewelry case), and also for massages and mani-pedis.
I was going to do the same for my BMs. I've already gotten them a 3 piece pearl set, small travel totes with their names on it and have been looking for a nice day spa for mani/pedis and massages

I liked the keepsake....I always remember the even with the jewlery or frame. I once got a mirror. It is a little pocket one...It is in a draw...Do not use it...Just make sure whatever you get matches the girls...
Just a side note. I will be paying for mani and pedis the day before the wedding too...along with their jewls for the day,,,

I have been in 2 weddings (3 if you count fg when i was 7). Both times I got DOJ and my hair. The DOJ never came out of the box again b/c I always wear what FH has gotten me...but I have friends who love this sort of stuff. It was nice not to have to shell out $$ for hair when you've already spent so much.
