have you ever.......

used your upcoming wedding as an excuse for anything? I got pulled over for blowing a stop sign (which im not sure i actually did..) and I was so frazzled that i told the cop that my wedding was in 2 months, and i must have had my mind on other things. He felt bad i guess, and told me how to get out of paying it when i go to traffic court!!!

Welp, not exactly... but close! Last July Andy and I got legally married at the court house while he was on leave from the war in Iraq. We had just dropped our friends home in NJ and were on our way home. However, we didnt realize we were driving 90 mph on a 55 mph We realized when we passed a cop hiding in the bushes. When he started chasing us with the sirens on, we knew for sure we were screwed!! Well, we told him we had just gotten married and showed him our marriage license.... along with Andy's military orders... hehe.. and he let us go squeeky clean... with nothing but a warning.

Even if the cop didn't want to not give you the ticket because you just got married... I couldn't give someone a ticket who's soon to leave for Iraq I'd give your DH a big thank you and a hug if you'd let me
