i never thought to do this but i did last night...it couldve turned out badly if he had started to say 'i hope it looks like this or that, etc.' cuz then i woulda freaked out over my actual dress but it was very interesting to see what he thought he might look like based on my personality, dresses he's seen on tv, etc.

no i didnt think to ask him... he would probably say something stupid to get on my nerves... so i dont think im going to bother...
when i told him i got my dress all he did was ask how much it was! lol

Yep and its hysterical because he thinks he is so right! He said he thinks it's going to be mermaid style which is definitely isn't because that style didn't flatter me at all. He also thinks it is going to be really plain but it has a little bling to it. He's not too far off though.
I am tempted to print out a hideous dress and leave it laying around though...make him think that's it!

i did...and he's in for a surprise!!
he said that he didnt think i would get a big dress...bc in the past ive shown him fitted, mermaid, lacey dresses....(in magazines)

i was looking at a wedding magazine once adn there was one of those pages that has all the different shapes, necklines, etc. on like a 2 page spread and i told him to pick the one he thinks my dress looks like the most he came pretty damnn close!

yeah and he doesnt really know. he knows its nothing big and poofy. but we were watching Say yes to the Dress and he kept saying like 'your dress could look like that one. or that one...or maybe that one'...to all different styles

i did that exactly and he basically described my dress! He said something form fitted with lace and a little different. In my head, I was ecstatic! I tried to keep a straight face in front of him though.

FH requested something victorian...bc he's super into history and different time periods but I don't find that style to be very flattering...not for 2010.

FH has seen my 'potential' dress in a few magazines. I don't care if he sees the dress in pictures.. or even in person, I just don't want him to see it ON ME.
he's always known I want a big poofy, strapless gown... but he says that they won't look right on me. w/e.

I asked him before I went dress shopping what he liked and didn't like. We were on the same page mostly.. but I feel confident he is going to love me in the dress I chose.

i kinda asked this...I had just bought my dress & was having 2nd thoughts, so I figured if FH said, 'oh I imagine you in' blah, blah type of dress & its not what I got then I would know to go w/whatever 2nd thoughts that were creeping into my head & get a new dress. Well, FH didnt make it that easy on me. He said yes, I imagine you in a beautiful dress..... he was NO help! I eventually got over my dress issues but am pretty sure my dress is not what he is going to expect.

2 things.... FH thinks all wedding dresses are the same fluffy white clouds.
i have showed him a bunch of pics at once multiple times and and each time included in the choices was my dress or one very similar and asked which one 'he liked' the best. he has always ended up picking mine or the one that is like mine. but he does not know that!
