Have you ever lost touch....

with a friend and you really regret it?

I had a best friend in HS and early college and I had a disagreement with one of our mutual friends. It was a big mess and had nothing to do with the 2 of us - I just wanted to stay away from the group. We were really great friends and honestly I miss her.

Well, I ran into her a few yrs ago and we were happy to see each other and said we would keep in touch and never did .

I just found out that she is getting married the day before me (i was looking up people I know on BB&B lol ) and I keep feeling like I should send her a note or something ....

I have absolutely NO desire to become friends again with 'the group' - who knows if she even is still friends with them - but I want to make amends.

Should I? I don't want to look like an idiot or a snoop LOL - after all I found her on BB&B!!

My friend Patrick. I am 2 years older then him. We used to live on the same block. Our parents were really good friends. He moved when he was 5 and I was 7. He moved to Virgina. My mom and I went a few times to visit him and his parents. But after a while we just lost touch.

It had to be over 12 years since we spoken and one day my dad was ill and rushed to the ER. In the ER the head nurse was Patrick's aunt. My mom and his aunt got to talking and she gave my mom everyone's email address. I immediatly emailed patrick and he wrote back. It was great to reconnect with him. I thought about him so much.

Then we lost touch again. I look for him all the time on line, but i always get his girlfriend and I tell her please tell Patrick I miss him. This is melissa we grew up together when he lived in NY. She knows who I am and she always responds with I will.

But its been a while and I do miss him. I think about him from time to time and I hope to reconnect with him again.

I also have a friend Joe that I grew up with who moved to Massapequa in 98 and I havent heard from him since he moved. A girl I went to college with actually bumped into him at the gym and through talking at the gym realized they both new me. So she would be my messenger for me to him.

But its been a while since I have spoken to him and he is always in my thoughts and my heart. He is the brother I never had.

And I invited her to the wedding and she hasnt' responded. I'm a little nervous about calling her.
