have you ever wanted something for your wedding that others think is useless/not needed?

have you ever wanted something for your wedding that you just cannot, and will not let go? even if FI or your family/friends says there's no point of having it? what is it? please share!

for me, i really want to wear louboutin's for my wedding. i told this to my close friend and she doesnt see the reason why i would 'waste' money on such things. i wasn't mad at her for saying this but i found it hard to explain to her that i just *have* to wear it for my wedding day!

Ummm just about everything, lol. FH thinks most of the things I'm getting for our wedding is useless:

cocktail napkins
matchbooks
customized table numbers
slipper baskets
bathroom baskets

Haha everything. From a photobooth to a candy buffet to STDs to personalized cocktail napkins. The only thing everyone approves of is the groom. Oh well. It's my money and I'll spend it how I see fit.

you could elope in street clothes and have a judge marry you.

you don't NEED a reception, a 'wedding dress', and so on and so on, the list in its entirety basically -- all NOT 'needed'.

its your day. if you can afford it and you really want it. do it.

My DOC, at first FH was like I don't need one but he came around and understood I can only keep my sanity with such a huge wedding if I have a DOC.

I'm sure there are things people will think is unnecessary but I keep my planning hush hush so I don't have to listen to people's opinions.
