I am actually not thinking the idea is so bad, just the execution. I say to all my single gf's to think of dating as the ultimate numbers game -- not romantic but still, true. The more dates you go on, the better the chance of finding Mr. Perfect. I just have all these friends who hang out with the same folks over and over and wonder why they never meet anyone -- got to open your vistas I think.

I agree - you can't hang out in the same circles and do the same thing over and over and expect for a guy to fall out of the sky. It's something I probably would never have done, but believe me, there's somebody out there for her and she's going to find him because she took some initiative. I was very leery of online dating for a while. Then I met the guy I'm going to marry online and I'm even typing this on his computer. Somewhere on this site I saw the survey taken of how people met their future husbands, and the overwhelming majority was 'on line.' I was floored. So, to each his own. Do what you gotta do to find the love of your life.

I don't know...I hope this doesn't offend anyone..but It just seems like the COMPLETE opposite of what marriage is supposed to be in my book.

Yes..I'm young..so I didn't have to even REACH the 'OMG I MIGHT NEVER GET MARRIED' phase..but is't is supposed to be about marrying the one person you love more than anyone else...not just MARRYING???

I had sworn to myself a few years ago, that If I didn't meet someone by the time I was 35, I would adopt a child, becaue I want children. But to want to get married just to get married..is kinda odd to me.
I hope she does find love...but I believe it goes deeper than just 'hey, you want to get married too? GREAT!'

Actually she did an interview on the radio up here in the Albany area a few months ago. She said she is not one to go to bars and pick up guys and so she just decided to have fun with this. She is serious. And, while I have not looked at the website, she says that if she meets a guy and he is not for her, she posts his pics and info for girls who might like his type.
