Our minimum is 160 people and we are going to have about 225 guests when all is said and done. Has anyone else gone way above their minumum? I wonder if the hall will throw in anything extra for that?
I know we had a great price on a sat night for the smaller room bc we were right at capacity -- we had to move to the bigger room bc the CH room was too small for the number of guests we expected (175) and so we had to swicth to a sunday for availability in the bigger room-- they wouldnt cut the price even though it was a sunday bc it was the bigger room and thus we were no longer close to max for the room, since our min was so low.. but now we have much more than the min so thought to ask them to add something in?
Does that sound ridiculous?

Re: Have You Had More Than Enough?
No, I don't think it sounds ridiculous. It doesn't hurt to try and give them a call. One of the RH's we were looking at kept adding things they would give us if we increased our minimum. You have nothing to lose by asking.

Def ask because I've heard of places doing that before! And be a hard a$$ about it too!

Look .. EVERYTHING is negotiable!
the longer you wait the less leverage you have.
Call your BM with a what if, and make demands. If you need help let me know. Decide what you want, a lower pp or extras. Go to them with a positive attitude and be firm and demanding.
Use examples when negotiating and use the power of a review ...
