have you heard doing make-up before hair?

I called for an appointment and they said they wash your hair and then do make-up, then blowdry and set.

Wouldn't you maybe sweat and ruin the make-up?

i was told to do hair first...otherwise your makeup might get ruined with what gets put on your hair

I thought it was wierd too. Now I am wondering if I should do hair there and then make-up somewhere else.

Usually you don't wash your hair either when you are getting it done for a wedding, it holds better if it isn't freshly clean.

I know I thought that too......I have a trial, so I can decide then if I hate it. I have very manageable hair that holds any style for days, so that I am not really concerned about.

I always thought it was hair before makeup but my MOH who is a hairdresser likes the makeup done first then to do the hair...

I guess it is whatever your preferance should be...I have always done it with hair first then makeup...

I am getting my makeup done first. The makeup lady suggested it so she doesnt get any of the airbrush makeup on my veil.

i washed my hair the night before... and got my makeup and hair done at the salon... they did my makeup first... that was just the order it worked best in... if anything got ruined the lady was still there to fix anything... but everything came out fine!

I was told that you should do your makeup first and then your hair so your makeup settles. Then, after your hair is done, it should be touched up. I don't know if that is right, but I was told that by a couple of hair and makeup people!

I had a cousin's wedding last month and we all had makeup done first also.. My hair was set in rollers FIRST, then makeup, and then the hair do was done and finished... Don't sweat it!!!

i've always heard hair first....unless it has to be set in rollers - then they roll them, do your makeup while they set, and then continue with hair...however every salon is different...YOU'RE paying so they should do what you prefer regardless. I would just tell them what you want.
