Have you seen a bridesmaid dress like this?

Over Thanksgiving I went shopping with 3 of my girls, and they all seemed to like Bill Levkoff #806...

But it only comes in 2 shades of blue- one that's WAY too pale and one is too purpley. And I really am just not a fan of either color after seeing them in pictures.

This is is exact color I'm looking for...

AFTER SIX cornflower

IMPRESSION cornflower

LANDA star sapphire

I'm looking for a cocktail length dress... preferably spaghetti straps, v-neck, or halter. (I feel like everyone nowadays does strapless and I want to be different!)

Any suggestions for this kind of dress in this color?

I don't have suggestions but let me just say that I had the same problem! I ended up going with the Bill Levkoff Indigo b/c I liked it, but what you're looking for was totally what I was looking for....I think there's a hole in the BM dress market in this great blue color!! good luck!

The alfred angelo dresses come in Indigo. It's perfect-not to pale, not to dark.

My BM dresses are in my album.

I saw that dress- I loved that one! That's definitely the color. Where did you get them?

i originally wanted a blue like what you are looking for - i called it 'blockbuster blue' haha. It's really hard to find anything similar. Davids bridal had some but their dresses aren't the best quality.

I didn't really look around very much since my BMs tried on 3 dresses on a whim and fell in love with one (Levkoff 555 -- in my album). It looked so good on them that I went with it even though I prob would have picked strapless otherwise. I was happily surprised that the indigo was close enough to what I wanted, and so we're going with that.

Have you seen the indigo in person? I ordered a yard of the fabric because it was too hard to tell from pictures online. It's not purple or a navy at all, but it isnt the bright blue you are looking for it. it looks darker in some lights and isnt as bright. My BMs (except one) are happy because they think it's more wearable than the obnoxiously bright blue I love, so I think its a good compromise. I relaly do like the color.

I love love love the first dress you posted -- I want to order it for myself in indigo hehe. Anyway, if you have totally ruled out indigo, good luck with your search and keep us posted. There are a few designers who have something out there in the blue you posted, but I had a really really hard time tracking down anything similar. There really IS a gap in the market! I think it's such a pretty color!

forgot to put this in the other post, but my friend's BM dresses were after 6 in cornflower blue. check y album under 'my est friend's wedding' to see wha they look like in real life. i thought they were gorgeous!

Wow! Thanks everyone for all the help!

Yea I really loved the original dress we picked... and although the indigo is a REALLY pretty color, it just really doesn't go with the color scheme I wanted.

Take a look at this other pic I found of the Bill levkoff indigo taffeta... it's almost lavender when the light hits it. I want my colors to be bright blue and silver. And silver is already SO shiny. I just think it would be too much shine. I'm determined to find a dress in the color. I keep using the phrase 'Because I want what I want' everyone says it makes me sound Bridezilla!! But It's my wedding dammit!!!
