Having a fat day!

Having a fat day!

Ok.
Some of you are going to laugh..everyone at work did

I am feeling really fat and ugly. I weighed in today at 117 pds...I am 5 ft and in the past few weeks I gained a few pounds. I think its stress. In fact I know it is stress.

Any advice on how to lose about 10 pounds in 2 months. Is it doable.

This is strange because I had lost weight and had to get my dress taken in...My clothes still fit the same...bu the scale went up...I give up.

Yes, it is definitely doable... drink lots of water and just try to stay away from the junk food. I know it's hard.. believe me... I've put on the stress weight myself .

Maybe its your scale. My fw does weight watchers. Its definitely worked for her even though i think she's beautiful no matter what! So i'm sure it will work for you. Good Luck

Definitely doable (and believe me, I understand - I'm 5'1 and I know that even 3 pounds either way makes a big difference on us vertically challenged!). What I do is cut out all snacking, switch my beverages from whatever I was drinking to water or unsweetened tea, and do not eat after 7:30 (3 hours before bedtime, so if you go to bed at 11:30, I'd say stop after 8-ish). Believe it or not, you'll see a big difference. If you want more, the other thing you can do is drop fat from some of the regular stuff (like if you drink coffee, put in lowfat or skim instead, or if you're eating a sandwich, skip the cheese). This way you're being healthy but not denying yourself too much. Good luck! And either way I'm sure you'll be a beauuuuutiful bride!

Eogara and you other ladies thanks so much

When us uhh hmm..vertically challenged people gain even 3 pounds like Eogara said, it shows up in a big way.
I defintely see the difference. And as of tomorrow its salads and fish for me. No more red meat or sweets. And definitely no more soda.

Yes, I agree... being 5'1' is not a strong point for me

I am 5' as well

10 pounds, 2 months - NO PROBLEM.

FH and I did a trial run of the South Beach Diet prior to Thanksgiving, I lost 5-8 pounds in 2 weeks. South Beach Diet plus cardio WILL work...go for it!

I'm with you! I'm only 5'2' and every pound shows when you aren't too tall. I think if you just eat healthy, no fast food and drink lots of water you should be ok (that, and all the weight you'll lose due to stress).

Dont worry!! Its doable!! Think of losing one pound a week, thats 8 pounds in 2 months, so one week you have to be extra good!

I'm pretty much 'vertically challenged' too, so I know what you mean about a little extra weight making a difference! I'm trying to drink lots of water (no soda or sugary juice), exercise at least a little each day, cut down meal portions, avoid the bread basket at restaurants, and avoid snacks (except for rice cakes occasionally). These little changes seem to be working OK so far. Good luck!

I agree that water and lots of fiber will work.

I have a 3 day diet too. By the American Heart association. It works...I did it for my cousins wedding. The food is not great but it works and it is only three days. FM me if you want me to email it to you.

I am tall and every pound still shows as well. You can never win!!

OMG! You quit smoking too!! I quit and wednesday will be 4 weeks!!! Good luck to you!!! I've only gone up 2 lbs (despite going to the gym 4 days a week ) and I also WISH I weighed 117lbs!!!!

10 lbs in 2 months is definitely doable!!! These girls gave really good advice and remember that scale is not always right!!! Good luck and relax!!
