Having a hard time picking out a photographer/videographer

Original post by CroatianBride

I knew this was going to be the hardest thing for me to chose and I was right. I really wanted Pennylane or JPI films (or similiar style) for my videographer but they blow my budget out of the water and I just can't justify paying more than double the price for them than a regular videographer (well I can, but DH can't)....so I can't help but to feel like I'm settling. As far as photographer, I love the photojournalistic style, and most I've seen so far are very plain and too 'safe' for my liking.

Any comments/recommendations/help is greatly appreciated!!

TIA

North Island!!

THIS! The videography Michael does is amazing! You should definitely go in for a consultation! I love his photography too, but when I compared pricing on the videography package vs other places, I thought he was nuts! We booked both immediately because there's no way he'll keep that price for long. FM me if you want more info.

I was having the same exact problem you are when I was looking and you got some great suggestions so far...

I would add J'Adore Love and Twelfth Night to your list.... and THomas Paul was already mentioned.

But I found the best thing that helped me was looking through the BRides Review board and looking at the photos that were posted. I found that everytime something caught my eye it was by THomas Paul... you might find that the same thing happens, whether it's with TP or another photog. Good luck!

I booked with Well Spun Weddings. Their style was really unique like the people you mentioned, but their prices were REALLY reasonable.

Just from the look of your profile photo in black and white with the red umbrella, I feel like you'd love Thomas Paul for Photo. Very beautiful creative shots with a bit of editing, not over editing like some other companies I looked at.
