there is definitely a bond between you and your pet.
My DH is a licensed Vet Tech and we have a few cats (all rescued) and a dog (also rescued).
I've become so much closer to our pets now that we are married (and living together).
They know when you are down and they gently appear on your lap...putting their nose under your hand...asking you to pet them so you will feel better.
My DH and I always say that they are gifts from God...and they are all angels.

Having a pet is definately like having a child to me!!! I am obsessed with my dog and we definately have a bond!! I love that you and your FH have a mutual love for having multiple pets, my FH is not budging on adding another member to our pet family........

I was never much of an animal person. Then, I met my DH and that all changed.
Our pets mean the world to us.
Today, the muscles on my side are really hurting me...and Sean is walking around my legs...wanting to be petted. Perhaps it is his way of saying...'pet me and maybe you'll feel better'.

omg please, my dog O'Malley IS my life.. I hate that this is the way it is because once he passes away, a piece of me will go with him. I can't even think about it without crying. I just went away on vacation and cried saying goodbye to him. I also have a bond with him because when I was living in Florida for 5 months by myself while DH was living in NY doing the police academy, he was all I had so we have that bond. He is a rescue dog and appreciates me so much and ugh, I just love him. My lil baby xoxo. and now I have another baby, her name is Jameson, I don't have as much of a bond with her yet, but she's a gorgeous lil baby too.

Last month, we had to put 2 of our cats to sleep.
One was old and had masses in his stomach.
The other one was extremely overweight. (We rescued him 6 months earlier). His organs just gave out.
Both were very hard on me....and even harder on my DH.
