and i need some ideas for food and drinks that we can make. i made the silly rule everything we make needs to be red or green and now i am stupmed for ideas. haha! help!

What a cool idea! Well, drinks shouldn't be too hard - any drink with sloe gin or cranberry juice will be red, and any drink with Midori or apple pucker (apple martinis!) will be green.
Red velvet cake for dessert, some kind of stir fry with red bell pepper and broccoli for one of the dishes, roasted red bell pepper dip for appetizer, guacamole, salsa and chips......

Too good! I guess I should also mention that it'd be a lot easier to make drinks with GRENADINE, not Sloe Gin. I think I had grenadine on my mind but typed Sloe Gin instead!

Red and green Jello shots of course!!
You could do an anitpasto salad with lots of 'red' meats - salami, proscuitto, pepperoni, etc - and green olives and pickles
