Having a singer at the Church

Having a singer at the Church

Did you have someone sing at the church, if so, what did they sing. We have a friend that we want to sing, but the church is telling us it needs to be sacred, but we don't know what songs are classified as sacred songs.

Thanks

Did you talk to Larry Tremsky? He should be able to give you a list - I think I read or heard that the office has a tape you can borrow for like $5 or something - you could call and ask.

Is Larry being a problem? I haven't contacted him yet I was going to do it this week. One of our BM's will be singing at the ceremony so we have to pick something too. You can do an Ave maria, Jesu Joy of Man's desiring, hmmm let me think if I can think of anything else - but those are two popular songs

I am also going through this dilemma right now. One of my BMs has a beautiful voice (she sang the National Anthem at her college graduation at NYIT and I bawled like a baby) I also wanted her to sing a Broadway love sone (One hand, one Heart, Love Changes Everything) and I was told by our church that it has to be church music. I was very upset about it. Some churches are more 'current', mine is not.
