having a(probably) unnecessary wedding day heart attack...
Ok so when I first got my engagement ring it really felt like the thing was too big. (it's a size 5) now the other day i fell alseep with it on and when I woke up in the AM i couldn't get it off, I was freaking out. 5 min later I was able to get it off. Now I'm afraid that when I wear it with my wedding band its gonna cut off my circulation. I also don't know what to do with it the day of the wedding because it won't fit on my left hand finger during the ceremony, so what do i do?

i would say just give your ring to your MOH to hold on to during the ceremony and afterwards when you have your wedding band on she can return it to you so you can put your ering back on. this way you dont have to worry about losing it if you wear it on your other hand.
also if you feel your ring is too small (which it sounds like since you had a problem taking it off) i would take it to a jeweler and have them make the ring bigger a half size... this way it wont cut off your circulation.
i have the same problem though... like when my hands are dry and its cold my ring is a little bit bigger. i had a ring guard put on but then one day when i was hot and my hands like blew up i couldn't get the damn thing off!! lol! so i had the ring guard removed. its a little bit bigger only at times now but i rather it not cut off my circulation at other times either!!

I would take it to the jeweler & have it re-sized. You dont want it to be too tight and uncomfortable!

My ring is like that also. When its cold its loose on me then some days its tight. I am not getting it sized a little smaller because I am afraid if I do on some days it will be so tight I couldnt get it off. I just make sure I take it off when I go to sleep at nite and when I do dishes or have my hands in water so I dont loose it.

If you take it back to the jeweler they can resize the ring a quarter size bigger for you, that way it is big enough for your finger to 'breathe' but still small enough where it wont fall off yor finger!

I would get it bigger. My e ring fits perfect but when i tried it on with my band it did feel tighter
Re: having a(probably) unnecessary wedding day heart attack...
I actually went to the jewelwer when I first got it because I was concerned that it was too big! They said that it was the right size. Even people at work were telling me I should get it looked at because it seems like it was too big. Now its fine during the day. I think I'm gonna probably have to get it sized sometims before my wedding though because thats what I'm concerned is that when I wear it with the wedding band that then is when it feels tight. It's just so weird how before it was too big and now sometimes it feels to small. I will probably have to wait to the summer when it gets hot out to see what I have to do...
Re: having a(probably) unnecessary wedding day heart attack...
Also we got it from blue nile, I don't know what they charge for resizing, and I'm concerned with sending it out. I'm also concerned because it has diamonds in the side and I have heard that when you get it resized the diamonds could break or fall out...

It could be just when your hands get swollen. You can take it to any jewler

its true, there is no reason at all to freak out. The reason why it was tight on you in the morning when you woke up is bc when you are tired your fingers swell up, the same as when its hot out your fingers swell up. But like you said, most of the day the ring is fine.
My ring i can spin around my finger bc it is a little loose, but my ring size finger is 4.5 and i dont want to go and have it cut down even more to a 4 bc then will look weird with my setting. BUT even though its a little loose on me most of the time, at night when i get tired it does feel a little tight bc my fingers are swollen and same in the summer. There is nothing wrong, its just normal and most peoples fingers swell during those 2 times. I also think about when i will be pregnant, and dont want to make it a 4 bc i probably wouldnt even be able to wear my ring when im pregnant
Re: having a(probably) unnecessary wedding day heart attack...
What I'm probably going to do is take both the rings down to the jeweler and see what they think. I tried my engagement ring on with another ring I own and it wasn't too bad, but when I put the wedding band and E-ring on together, it's a problem. I will prob wind up going up a quarter of a size on each ring then I guess...

I would get it resized, and maybe put a ring guard on.
Re: having a(probably) unnecessary wedding day heart attack...
I'm goona wait till about a month or so before the wedding b/c it only seem to be snug when i wear it w/ the wedding band. I also plan on losing about 30lbs since I'm very overweight, that could make all the difference...

I have the same problem but for me Its mostly what I eat Like if its something salty then my hands will swell slightly. For some reason when I sleep with it on it is too tight but during the day sometimes it will be swirling around....So weird. Don't freak as you see alot of us have the same issue!

I have a ring guard also. The ring is a size 5, and it was spinning on my finger! I am a track coach and wanted to make sure that i didn't loose the ring!
the only issue is the ring guard catches my hair when i blow dry it.....ha
