Re: having such a hard time
It drove me crazy for soo long. I decided not to have them for a while (the hall gives out wrapped choc truffles at the end) Then FH came up with the brilliant idea we are doing for favors... We are making mason jar cookie recipies with July 4th themes... Kind of like this picture....
i hate the favors thing. my mother is nagging to help so i gave them over to her. One thing less to worry about...and it's so much easier to delegate tasks when you don't care about that one thing!

Re: having such a hard time
I never thought that this would be one of the hardest decisions a bride would have to make! Crazy huh! I wanted to do something different. Give our guest something that they could really use and not throw in some draw.

I know how you feel! That is why I just ended up not doing anything! It was too much stress.
I ended up going with Frames.. so guests still take something back, but no real favors.

IMO Try thinking outside the box. Maybe you have not decided because you want something different. If you have ancestors from another country, try looking at 'tokens' from that country that are not common here. Or think of useful things. Or even a magazine or newspaper subscription. You'd be amazed once you let your mind wonder. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Re: having such a hard time
If you really don't have your heart set on anything, consider a donation favor. I think the money for a favorite charity is really sweet and is useful long after favors are forgotten.
This is horrible of me, but its also a tax write-off.
