Having such a hard time finding a reception hall... HELP!!

Hi... I recently got engaged and already feel like I'm going to be the run away bride. I'm Hindu and my fiance is Christian so we need to have 2 ceremonies. Besides all that I'm having a difficult time finding a reception hall. I need something that will fit 300 ppl and that is scenic or at least nice. I wanted something different, perhaps a castle or a mansion at an estate. I dont want the typical hotel wedding. I want scenery. Oh there is another catch I need to be able to bring outside catering or at least find a place that can make decent indian food. If anyone could help that would be great... cause I'm ready to just walk over to city hall.
Thanks agian

you can tryy the inn at new hyde park. They just re-modeled the place and the ball room can fit over 300 people. Im not sure what your price rang is and I dont know if they allow outside catering.
you should also def look at the woodbury country club, when I worked there years ago they did a lot of indian weddings and allowed outside food in...or maybe they worked with certain outside catering venders, either way its worth looking into both places. Woodbury Def has alot of grounds and very pretty property

I also HIGHLY recommend Woodbury Country Club. When my husband and I went to WCC for our very first appointment, there was an Indian wedding taking place. It was absolutely spectatular - and our BM told us that they host Indian weddings quite frequently. The grounds are gorgeous, and the service was amazing. Feel free to fm me if you have any questions!

Lots of luck with your RH search. Hang in there - everything will work out!!

Have you looked at the Bourne Mansion or Oheka Castle? It also depends on the budget, when you start bringing in food from other places things seem to be more expensive. My friend who got married at Oheka Castle spend over $150k on her wedding. Good luck!

How about Crest Hollow Country Club. They can hold 300 plus in one room. They have 24 acres of land as well! I think it will be perfect for you. They are also quite reasonable.

Ditto Crest Hollow. I don't know the specific policy for bringing outside food, but DH and I had an intercultural wedding there and the staff was pretty sensitive to that fact. The grounds are immaculate--there is an outdoor garden, patio, pool, and fountain--and the interior facilities are spacious.
