Having the worst day ever
I had a dentist appointment for 1:45 today and I left my apartment in a rush to get there. I had to go all the way back to where my parents live for this appointment. I rushed out of my apt and didn't bring what I need for Sunday just because I didn't want to be late to the dentist so now I will make an unnecessary trip back home tonight to get my stuff for tomorrow (1/2 hour away). Anyway, when I called the dentist to let them know I would be late because of the roads, the receptionist was a b*tch. Here is our convo:
ME: Hi. I have an appointment at 1:45 but I'm calling to let you know I'm running late.
Her: You don't have an appointment.
Me: Yes I do. I called to confirm yesterday.
Her: We're closed. You don't have an appointment.
Me: Nobody called to tell me you are closed.
Her: We don't take appointments after 1. You never had an appointment.
Me: I called YESTERDAY to confirm that I had this appointment.
Her: Whats your name?
Me: Kathryn _____
Her: Yeah, I know your mother and you don't have an appointment.
First of all, I'm 24 years old. My mother does not go to this dentist and she definately did not make my appointment. I am so annoyed. People always talk to me like I'm 6.
Next, I get home to my mom's house and there is a letter saying there is a ticket on my car for 11/25 for letting a meter run out in the Bronx. I teach in a outside of the city and I was not even in the Bronx at that time. ANNOYING. On top of that ticket, I still have a ticket from last weekend for my sticker not being properly on my window AKA it was peeling off but you could read ALL of the information from outside of the car so the ticket was BS.
And now I just got into an arguement with my parents. I want to go back to my apartment but I can't because I have to go out to dinner for my sister's birthday.
I hate today.
