Re: Hawaii

I'm going next year staying at the Hyatt in both Oahu and Maui. I originally booked the Halekulani in Oahu but after reading reviews (they were good reviews) but also some complaints about the pool being small and the beach being small so we decided it wasn't worth all that extra money.

Re: Hawaii

We booked ourselves and we stayed at:

The Royal Hawaiian (Waikiki Beach - just one night)
Westin Maui (Kaanapali - wonderful)
The Point at Poipu (Kauai timeshare-wonderful)
The Princeville Kauai (the nicest hotel I've ever seen in my life)
Sheraton Moana Surfrider (Waikiki Beach - our next stop).

We have a timeshare through Starwood so we have a number of points we were able to use for the rooms so it was worth it. Our timeshare in Poipu was in walking distance to the Hyatt and was done by the same landscape architect so it was wonderful!

Honolulu- Haulekulani, it is a five star hotel and the service is outstanding. We felt like we had the hotel to our selves, since you only see a few people walking around the hotel. The breakfast every morning was delicious, but expensive. They had nice cushioned lounge chairs by the pool. A worker would come over and put fitted towels on the chair and then give you two towels for the pool. Then he would come back with ice water for us. Even when you are standing in the front lobby for a cab, they have workers handing out bottles of water. I felt so high class. HAHA

Maui- Hyatt, it is a beautiful hotel. Maui has so much to do and is beautiful. The best was all the animals they had all over the hotel. Such as Parrots, penguins, Swans, fish, flamingo.

Kaui- Hyatt, this is also considered a five start hotel. The Hyatts pool is the best I have ever seen at a hotel. The place is fantastic. Kaui was are favorite island. Many people might not like it here because it is a pretty quite island with little night life. Me and my DH loved it, because this is what we imagined Hawaii to look like.

We used Dawn honeymoon Specialist. She is listed on the vendor board under honeymoon- travel agents. She is the only Travel Agent I have ever liked. I travel a lot and always find myself knowing more then the travel agent. She is so nice, and we had no problems with anything she booked for us. I just booked are one year anniversary trip with her. Trust me and call her!!!

I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, it's not Resort Quest Waikiki Beach Hotel, it was gorgeous... What I liked about our hotel was it was at the END of the strip of hotels, and if you were on our balcony, if you looked right, there was the ocean & beach.. and to the left, was diamond head...

I did all my booking on Expedia.com
