Best place to stay in Hawaii, we are going for about 2 weeks, I have no idea where to go and which Islands are the best. Anyone know which island is the best for scuba diving. Thanks

Re: Hawaii
Oahu is the biggest, most developed island, biggest city. Maui is in the middle, quiet, some nature, some mild night life if you decide to explore it. kauai has the most nature, and is very secluded, just you, your resort and your spouse. it is also the most tropical.
Me and my wife went to Maui for our honeymoon, we both loved it. We stayed at the Hyatt in kaanapali/lahaina, good pool, had to walk a block or two worth of boardwalk to find the good beach area which is right next to the whaler's village (just an outdoor village style mall with all the same boring stores as ny). Sheraton Maui Resort is more centralized, we didn't stay there but we considered it, and it has the best snorkeling right off the beach, but you can go there no matter where you stay. For snorkeling, it has the 'black rock' that you can swim out to (carefully, only early on low tide) for a ton of fish, or hop on a charter boat to molokini which is a moon shaped island that blocks all of the tide. We woke up at 2am to goto to top of mt haleakala volcano to watch the sunrise. we also took a 10 hour drive (round trip) to Hana, which has tropical and canyon and valley areas but the drive is very dangerous if you are not careful because it's a one lane two way road on the edge of a cliff aside a mountain with no guard rail.. but the trip is worth it, and a tour is recommended for the squeemish.
As far as resorts on maui, i can recommend the hyatt, and sheraton in lahaina and in wailea the fairmont, the wailea grand, and the four seasons. Each have different vibes, different price ranges, etc. Be aware of the time of year that you go, and the hoardes of families on vacation with screaming kids, we went when all the kids were still in school and had a nice relaxing time.
Here's some pics we took: http://bryanlisa.com/honeymoon/
You might consider island hopping, staying 4 days on any given island.
here's some other opinions on hawaiian islands, for maui, i'd say they were pretty on target with their rating.
absolutely LOVED maui!!! We spent a week there and a week in Oahu. We went to Maui first and we wished that we could have stayed there the whole 2 weeks. Weren't a fan of Oahu. It just wasn't as pretty as Maui. Every beach in Oahu looked the same and in Maui... every place was different!

Re: Hawaii
We stayed in Oahu, Maui and Kauai were our favorites.
We stayed at the Westin Kanapali Beach in Maui and loved it, it was a great hotel. We stayed at a timeshare in the Poipu resort area in Kauai and it was wonderful as well.
We stayed in Waikiki Beach on Oahu and it was very crowded and commercialized, I enjoyed the other islands a lot more.
We didn't do any scuba diving but, on each island there are places where you can walk right in and snorkel, it was pretty neat.
