i haven't priced it out, but when we were at a travel agent, she said that we could do hawaii for about $8000. she also said a lot of hotels are lowering their rates to make up for how much airfare is. did you go to a travel agent? i would DEF do that. we priced out a trip to the bahamas and when we did it with the travel agent it was completely different! My hawaii trip (5 nights in maui, 4 nights in kauai) at the hyatt hotels (oceanfront in maui, partial ocean view in kaui), including coach airfare and interisland airfare, breakfast daily, and intermediate rental car daily is about 6800. I went through Liberty Travel.

If you do a cruise, it's cheaper. We were looking at Hawaii before we booked Europe and the cruises are pretty reasonable.

Three of my gf's did hawaii and one of them did a cruise. She had the best to say out of all three of them. I know they are pretty reasonable.

Were going to Hawaii but on miles. There are a lot of great hotel options if you look hard enough. My friend is doing Hawaii in two weeks and got a cheap condo option. But flights are expensive. My father said our miles flights are worth about $1500. And were going coach.

Yes flights are expensive which we knew! And we are having trouble because we want to stay in REALLY nice hotels bc its our honeymoon & nice rooms because its our honeymoon.. But of course, that comes out to so much $$ so we need to really decide what we want to compromise or if we are willing to pay the $$. Plus we haven't gone to a travel agent yet so maybe they'll have some suggestions.. but i figured you girls would be the best place to start

We are doing Kauai for 5 nights and Maui for 5 nights. With airfare, both hyatt hotels, breakfast every morning, inter island flight and convertible and jeep for each island we paid 8000. I tried to price it on the computer and was more $$!! Hope that helps! If you have any questions FM me!

The Marriots might be a reasonable option and while they aren't the most luxurious on Hawaii, they are still beautiful resort hotels. There is one in Wailea, Maui that is supposed to be beautiful. The one on Kaui gets good ratings and the one on the Big Island in Kona is really nice (we're going there.) Try Trip Advisor. People rate the price and experience and there are always a lot of reviews from Honeymooners.

We went to hawaii for our Hm in july/august. We stayed Thurs to Sat in Oahu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Sat to Wed on the Big Island at the haupena Prince Hotel. We paid about 3500 and that included hotels, airfare from LAX (we got cheap tickets from NY to LA and back on our own during a sale) a car rental on the Big Island and inter-island flights.

We used Travel Tom from American Express Travel. I suggest using a place like that because they get deals from places because they are like a wholesaler.

We went to Oahu for 4 nights (Outrigger Waikiki); Kauai for 6 nights (Hyatt) and Maui for 8 nights (Hyatt) and it cost us about $7,000 with interisland flights. We used miles to get back and forth to the mainland.

My recommendation is to use a REALLY good travel agent - pricing it out on our own before we went came to approximately $10,000. Plus, the travel agent got us all kinds of goodies because she lied and told the hotels we were on our honeymoon!

We already decided we need to go back there for our for real honeymoon and have the travel agent working on it!

It's beautiful and you'll love it!!!
