Re: Hawaii...
I can tell you what we've done in the past and what we're planning to do on our HM
Ohau: Pearl Harbor / USS Missouri Shark Cage Dive Hiked Diamond Head snorkeling in Haunama Bay drove up to the north shore Punchbowl Cemetary Maitais at the Royal Hawaiian Happy Hour at Dukes (right inside our hotel) surf lessons on Waikiki
Kauai: Drove through and hiked Waimea Canyon Flew ultralights/trikes snorkeling trip along the Napali coast drove up to Hanalei Bay for snorkeling Hiked the Kapalua Trail down to the beach FH played golf at Poipu Bay Spa Day at the hotel for me lots and lots of snorkeling! four wheeling (mud bug thing)
Maui: horseback riding into Haleakala snorkeling all over the place scuba off of Kaanapali day trip to Lanai where we rented a jeep and went 4-wheeling FH played golf again and I had another spa day parasailing Old Lahaina Luau Tour of the Stars on our hotel rooftop zipline
I think that's everything.....for the HM so far we have booked excursions for Oahu (we are doing underwater scooters) and Kauai (taking a helicopter tour that lands at a waterfall).
There really is so much to see and do.

Did you book all of your activities before you went, or after you arrived??

Re: Hawaii...
This will be our first time going to Hawaii, but every person I have spoken to has said that you must, must, must see the sunrise (or sunset) on top of Haleakala. People have said that it is the most breathtaking view you will ever see.
They also said that you need to go to at least one Luau to experience the Hawaiian culture.
We will also be doing the road to Hana while we are in Maui. I heard it's a lonnng drive, but the views are beautiful.

Re: Hawaii...
Some of them we booked before we went and some we booked while we were there. We booked the shark dive, the Lanai day trip, the horseback riding and the Luau before we went. Everything else, we just did while we were there.
We are still debating whether or not to do the shark cage dive again (it was really amazing).
We also did the Road to Hana which I left off the previous post. It's just a beautiful ride. Pack a cooler (most hotels will prepare a picnic lunch for you) but we picked up a large cooler bag before we went and stopped at a local grocery store and got fruit and drinks and stuff to make sandwiches on our own.
That cooler bag was the best thing to bring to Hawaii. Especially for us because we did so much hiking and stuff. We always had snacks and sandwiches in the car with us. You wouldn't believe how many romantic little picnics we had!

We went to Oahu, Maui and Kuaui too! Here's what we did on each island:
Oahu: hiked Diamond Head shopped at the Int'l Market Place
Maui: saw the sunrise at Mt Haleokula (you have to get up at 2-3 AM but it is so worth it-beautiful! Bring jackets and wear a sweatshirt-it gets cold up there!!) We rode bikes down the mountain after the sun rose! drove the Road to Hana went to the Old Lahaina Luau (reserve this in advance of your trip or have your travel agent do it for you!)-it's supposed to be the best one on Maui if you scrapbook-don't miss the scrapbook store here, it's the best lol!!!
Kuaui: hiked Waimea Canyon saw the Spouting Horn (cliffs with blowholes and sea turtles!) went on a dinner boat tour to the Na-apali Coast (where Jurassic Park was filmed)-beautiful!
You and all other brides willl have a great time!!!

We used a travel agent and she booked all of it for us before we arrived. That way you don't have to worry about anything when you get there except enjoying yourselves

Re: Hawaii...
by the way - sunrise/sunset on Haleakala = OUT OF THIS WORLD BREATHAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
We did a 'tour' thing where they picked us up by bus at 2:30 am (yikes) and took us up there for sunrise. They gave us breakfast halfway up. It was amazing.
A day or two later, FH and I drove up there in late afternoon by ourselves and ended up staying for sunset. We bought some snacks and just sat and watched the sun go down.
I have to say, I prefered sunset to sunrise! They are both amazing to see (they look identical so it's not like one is better than the other), but I'm not really a morning person, it was much colder up there early morning AND it was way cheaper to do it ourselves than through a tour group.
Just a hint for those who want to put their money towards something else.
Also, we did all of our excursion reservations ourselves. The TA did the hotel/flights/cars for us, but the internet came in very handy as far as excursions go.

Re: Hawaii...
In Maui, definitely do Trilogy - it's a boat tour which takes you over to the island Lanai, and you get to go snorkeling, and they have rights to a private beach there I believe. You get the Trilogy boat from Lahaina. It's pricey but the best tour, and they'll even tell you that down at the docks.

Re: Hawaii...
In Kaua'i, I highly recommend doing the zipline tour with backcountry adventures. It was by far our favorite activity of the whole trip. I put some pics from it in my review if you want to take a look. I also recommend eating at mama's fish house in maui

Re: Hawaii...
This is great information.... did all of you use TAs? Anyone take a day trip to another island? I'm debating booking the HM myself or going to a TA. I heard you can day trip to islands and end up saving a lot of money doing it....
