Hawaii Activities

I am starting to look into what activities we would like to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Things that are good, things that are not worth it. Let me know.

TIA!

I've done a TON of activities in Hawaii. What islands are you going to?

Maui: The Road to Hana (scenic drive, exciting with a lot of steep cliffs and turns!)
Mount Haleokula (sp): There's nothing like the sunrise there...it's cold though and you do have to get up very early...but beautiful
* lol if you scrapbook...a great scrapbook store with soooo many Hawaii things called Island Paperie...I went crazy in that store!! FM for more info!
Oahu: We didn;t spend a lot of time here....it's still pretty, more like a city...there's Diamondhead Mountain to hike up (very scenic at the top!) and the International Market (great buys on gold and many other things-clothes, souvenirs etc). Also check out Waikiki Beach and try to go for a catamaran tour!!
I haven't been to Kona yet!!!

kona is very interesting....kinda looked like the opening to terminator 2 to me (loads of volcanic rocks all over) but there are scenic rides there too. I have to look in my scrap book for the name but if I remember correctly we stayed mostly in the resort while in kona.

also in Oahu the polineasean cultural center is amazing (gives you a taste of new zealand, tahiti, and all the other south pacific islands while in one place. Diamond head is a must! Also find a tour where you can hike into a volcano...SOOOO COOL! Go to brunch at the sheraton on Waikiki its expensive but SOOOOO worth it. the view is AMAZING!! the arizona and missouri but gotta get up early for that (go the first day there cuz you wont be adjusted to the time yet. hanauma bay were you can snorkle (the fish are so used to humans they swim right up to you and you can feed them. not the best reefs but watching the fish was soooo relaxing to me. I have been to Oahu 2xs and have done a lot of little things so let me know what you are interested in and I can give more details but these are the highlights

maui sophisticat said all the things i did

fm me christine for more
