Quick question for those in the know: When you fly from NY to Honolulu and then connect to an interisland flight, can you check your luggage straight through to your final destination? Or do we have to pick up from the first flight and re-check onto the interisland?

They will change your luggage over for you while you switch flights.

Yup, that's what we're doing. Well, flying American from JFK to Oahu, then taking aloha airlines to Kauai. Approximately, how much time do you think I can leave between? We're landing at 5:10 pm, and hoping to take an aloha airlines flight at 7:05.

Re: hawaii flying question
that is enough time. we had a 2 hour gap in between flights. its a bit of a walk between terminals.
