We want to go to Pearl Harbor and have booked 2-nights in Oahu but now I'm thinking that I would rather just go for the day.
Has anyone done that/planning on it?

I did that when I visited Hawaii (not for HM)
We did a one day trip to the Big Island and we were back in our hotel that night.
I think if you only want to see Pearl Harbor - a one day tour will work out fine.
If you want to drive around the island and see Waikiki then maybe you want to stay a night.

We're flying directly into Oahu so we're spending a night there on either end of the trip.
The only thing that might be a problem of doing it as a 'day trip' is that you have to get there early because the tours go quickly.

We went to Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island on our honeymoon, with one night on Oahu just to see Pearl Harbor. I was glad we went to Pearl Harbor, but we couldn't wait to get onto the other islands. I would suggest just flying in for the day, and not even spending one night, we both felt there was nothing special about Waikiki and honolulu in general.
