I stayed at the outrigger reef on the beach which is right next to the Halekulani hotel. We walked through and it was a beautiful place.

I stayed here in June and it was amazing!!! I see that some people complain about the pool and the beach being to small. Well, all I have to say is yes the pool and beach are small, but you are in a city. I wasn't expecting a hugh pool. The beach area is fine, and all you need to do is walk a little for a larger beach. We also aren't big complainers. I mean, your in Hawaii, how could you complain!!! Maybe if you stayed at a crappy hotel, but come on, this place is beautiful!!!

The hotel service is outstanding, and I found the hotel to be very romantic. It is a older crowd and it is very quite, though you will see kids staying here, as you do at every hotel. We had a ocean view room and it was really nice.
Sometimes you feel like you are the only two people staying at the hotel, especially at night.
They have cushioned lounge chairs at the pool. When you go to get a towel, a worker comes over and puts a fitted towel on to your chair. Then he gives you a towel for swimming and two glasses of cold water.
They even have workers in the front lobby giving out bottles of water to people waiting for cabs.

They give you complimentary juice and water daily in your room.

The breakfast buffet was really good but expensive, around $50 for the two of us. Which is about average in all the hotels we stayed.
This hotel was not as grand as the Hyatts or grand Waliea, but it can't be since it is in a city. It is a quaint hotel, beautifully done, and the service is outstanding. I really loved this place.
Sorry so long, hope this helps!!!

Also, you can tell that most of the people staying here have money, so at night, it is not unusual to see people dressed up at the bar or lounge. Men actually need to be in a button down shirt and no jeans to get into the lounge/bar area.
